On May 11, 2025, the St. Louis Battlehawks secured a 19–9 victory over the Memphis Showboats at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium, improving their record to 5–2 and maintaining momentum in the XFL Conference playoff race.
Quarterback A.J. McCarron led the Battlehawks’ offense, completing 35 of 45 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns. His performance was complemented by a balanced receiving corps, with Marcell Ateman, Darrius Shepherd, Hakeem Butler, and Jahcour Pearson each contributing over 20 receiving yards.
Running back Jacob Saylors added 103 rushing yards, including a franchise-record 57-yard run in the fourth quarter, setting up a touchdown pass from McCarron to Pearson.
Defensively, the Battlehawks were dominant, limiting Memphis to just 60 passing yards and 127 total yards. The defense excelled on key downs, holding the Showboats to 1-for-10 on third-down conversions.
With this win, St. Louis moved to 7–2 on the season, solidifying their position atop the XFL Conference.
