On May 17, 2025, the St. Louis Battlehawks edged out the Birmingham Stallions in a thrilling 29–28 victory at The Dome at America’s Center, witnessed by 30,114 fans. The game saw six lead changes and a total of four fumbles, two per team. Jacob Saylors scored a critical one-yard touchdown and a one-point conversion late in the game to put the Battlehawks ahead. Moments later, linebacker Travis Feeney forced a fumble from C.J. Marable, which was recovered by Myles Jones with just 28 seconds left, sealing the win.
Saylors rushed for 118 yards on 16 carries, sharing the team lead for rushing touchdowns (5) with quarterback Max Duggan, who added two rushing touchdowns and passed for 110 yards with one interception. A pivotal interception return for a touchdown by Callahan O’Reilly also contributed to the Battlehawks’ success.
Despite strong performances from the Stallions, including three touchdown passes from J’Mar Smith, the Battlehawks clinched their fourth straight win, improving to 6–2. Coach Anthony Becht commended the team’s resilience and unity.
