Cleveland Browns vs Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens asserted their dominance early in Sunday’s AFC North clash against the Cleveland Browns at M\&T Bank Stadium, taking control of the game with an aggressive opening drive. Quarterback Lamar Jackson demonstrated his dual-threat ability, orchestrating a precise 68-yard drive that ended with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Devontez Walker. The Ravens’ special teams also contributed to the momentum when Jake Hummel blocked a Browns’ punt, setting up an easy scoring opportunity and signaling that Baltimore was in complete command from the outset.

Despite flashes of offensive creativity, the Browns struggled to maintain consistency. Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco completed 25 of 45 passes for 199 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown to Cedric Tillman after a fortunate deflection, but also turned the ball over twice with an interception and a lost fumble. Cleveland’s running game failed to establish itself, allowing the Ravens’ front seven to dominate the line of scrimmage and limit the Browns’ ability to respond in the first half.

The Ravens’ offense remained relentless in the second quarter, with Jackson connecting again with Devontez Walker and DeAndre Hopkins for additional touchdowns. Baltimore’s offensive line provided Jackson the time to dissect the Browns’ secondary, and tight end Tylan Wallace contributed in the red zone with a touchdown reception. Meanwhile, Cleveland’s defense was forced into passing situations, unable to stop Baltimore’s balanced attack, which led to a growing point differential by halftime.

Baltimore’s defensive unit also played a pivotal role in securing the victory. Rookie linebacker Tavius Robinson recorded a strip-sack in the fourth quarter, which Roquan Smith returned 63 yards for a touchdown, effectively sealing the game. The Ravens’ secondary, anchored by Marcus Williams, limited big plays from the Browns’ receivers, forcing Flacco into hurried throws and preventing any momentum swings that might have kept Cleveland in contention.

As the game wound down, Lamar Jackson added a late 23-yard touchdown strike to DeAndre Hopkins, capping a comprehensive team performance. The Ravens controlled time of possession, dominated key statistical categories, and executed flawlessly in both phases of the game. With this 41–17 victory, Baltimore improved to 1–1 on the season, while Cleveland fell to 0–2, highlighting areas in need of adjustment for the Browns’ offense and defense as they look ahead in the AFC North schedule.
