The Los Angeles Rams opened their Week 2 matchup against the Tennessee Titans with a fast-paced offensive display at Nissan Stadium. Quarterback Matthew Stafford efficiently directed the Rams’ attack, completing 21 of 29 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Davante Adams, making his Rams debut, made an immediate impact with four receptions for 51 yards, including a critical third-quarter catch that set up a short-yardage touchdown, energizing both the team and the home crowd.
The Titans initially responded with rookie quarterback Cam Ward showing flashes of improvisational skill. Ward completed 19 of 33 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown to fellow rookie Elic Ayomanor, keeping Tennessee within striking distance in the first half. Despite his effort, the Titans’ running game failed to gain traction, and the offensive line struggled against LA’s pass rush, allowing Stafford to exploit the gaps and lead Los Angeles Rams to a 13–10 halftime advantage.
The Rams’ rushing attack complemented their passing game effectively. Puka Nacua electrified the stadium with a 45-yard rushing touchdown, while rookie running back Blake Corum added consistent gains to sustain drives. Tight end Davis Allen also contributed with a 7-yard touchdown reception, demonstrating the Rams’ versatility and ability to attack multiple areas of the field. Their balanced offensive approach kept the Titans’ defense off-balance throughout the second half.
Defensively, the Rams dominated Tennessee Titans. Outside linebacker Byron Young’s timely sack forced a fumble, which Stafford capitalized on with a short-field scoring drive. Defensive end Kobie Turner added a 6-yard sack on Cam Ward, further disrupting Tennessee’s rhythm and preventing any sustained offensive drives. The Rams’ defense consistently pressured Ward, limiting the Titans’ ability to recover from mistakes and maintaining control of field position.
By the final whistle, the Rams had secured a 33–19 victory, showcasing a well-rounded performance in all phases of the game. Their balanced attack, timely defensive plays, and ability to capitalize on turnovers highlighted a team performing at a high level early in the season. With a 2–0 record, Los Angeles looks ahead to Week 3 against the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles, aiming to continue their momentum and assert themselves as a playoff contender.
